Works at Sisters’ Island Marine Park

The working period for works at Sisters’ Island Marine Park has been extended and the work will now be conducted until 31 December.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.76 of 2023, the works are being carried out between 0700 and 2200 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - at Sisters’ Island, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

The works involve installation of floating boardwalks and breakwater at Pulau Subar Laut, and reinstatement of rock revetment at Pulau Subar Laut and Pulau Subar Darat. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working areas.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working areas, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
