Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health has issued a circular updating the measures for travelers arriving from overseas during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Foreign passport holders must now have a minimum of USD 50,000 travel insurance including Covid-19 hospitalisation, valid for duration of their stay + additional 14 days.
Prior to departure for Sri Lanka, travelers aged 12 years and above must have a negative 72-hour PCR OR 48-hour Rapid Antigen report (previously, a negative 72-hour PCR for travelers aged 2 years and above was mandatory).
Children 12 - 18 years who have received a single Pfizer dose taken 2 weeks before departure are considered as fully vaccinated. Travelers who have had a single dose of the vaccine AND have had Covid-19 infection will be treated as fully vaccinated.
