Effective 01 March 2024 the use of wire mooring ropes will not be permitted in Port of Townsville.
Vessels currently carrying alternate fibre mooring ropes are encouraged to change over and comply with this requirement as soon as practical.
Berth 1.
Effective immediately vessels with LOA 150metres or greater must tie up with the following minimum moorings.
Forward ‐ Headlines x 4, breast lines x 2, Forward springs x 2
Stern: Stern lines x 4, breast lines x 2, Aft springs x 2
