The working area for repair works at Police Coast Guard Lim Chu Kang base the has been revised, and working period extended until 31 August.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.27 of 2023, the work is being conducted between 0800 and 1900 hours daily – including Sundays & public holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01° 26.742'N / 103° 42.373'E
2 01° 26.765'N / 103° 42.408'E
3 01° 26.750'N / 103° 42.417’E
4 01° 26.728'N / 103° 42.382’E
The repair works are being carried out by work barges assisted by tugboats.
Safety boats are deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the repair operations.
Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
