28 Feb 2022 / Sri Lanka
From tomorrow (1 March), fully vaccinated travelers - including seafarers – are no longer required to take a PCR or Rapid Antigen Test before entering Sri Lanka by sea or air.
The online Health Declaration Form (HDF) to be completed by arrivals is available at https://www.airport.lk/passenger_guide/arrival_info/health_declaration_form
For crew changes of fully vaccinated seafarers /sea-marshals, arrivals at Colombo airport must report to the health counter of the Ministry of Health (MOH) and produce their vaccination cards. After verifying the details by the medical staff at the health counter, a ‘Blue Stamp’ will be issued clearing them from the checks. Thereafter, they will be taken through immigration formalities by the agent’s representative. Seafarers / sea-marshals must carry the ‘Blue Stamp’ with them at all times until they join their vessel.
Transport will be arranged by the agent for transferring seafarers/sea-marshals from airport to hotel and then to designated seaport. A PCR test 48 hours prior to joining the vessel will be carried out at the hotel, if required.
Other procedures apply to seafarers/sea marshals who are not fully vaccinated. It is mandatory for those not fully vaccinated to carry a negative result from a Covid-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of boarding or a Rapid Antigen test (self-swabs not allowed) taken within 48 hours prior to their flight.
