11 Apr 2024 / Ashburton, Cape Preston West, Varanus Island & Dampier, Australia
The ports and anchorages of Ashburton, Cape Preston West, Varanus Island and Dampier have reopened after the passage of ex-Tropical Cyclone Olga. The berthing of vessels will remain subject to local assessment of prevailing sea state and winds.
As per Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) update at 0500 AWST 11 April 2024, Olga has weakened further and there is no evidence of gales occurring on the southern side. It is moving to the southwest and should start to dissipate off the Ningaloo coast southwest of the Exmouth region later today or overnight.
