Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 infected individuals in many countries including seafarers, the arrival of international flights from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal to Maldives is suspended from 12 to 31 May, which means off-signers disembarking in Sri Lanka cannot go to Male via Mattala.
However, the pre-planned flight from Male to Mattala will operate as scheduled today/tomorrow (14/15 May) to transfer incoming crew members to Sri Lanka.
As an alternative, a direct flight arranged by the Private Public Partnership (PPP) exclusively for seafarers between Doha and Mattala will be available from 19 May onwards.
