Crew of vessels that have sailed from China must undergo a PCR by Korea port quarantine one day before disembarking or taking shore leave, provided that their result is negative.
When any crew who joined vessel in China/Hong Kong/Macau wants to disembark at Korean port (including shore leave), they should submit a COVID negative certificate issued before embarkation at China/Hong Kong/Macau. Crew who joined vessel in China/Hong Kong/Macau within 7days of the ship’s arrival at Korean port should submit a COVID negative certificate to Korean quarantine to obtain permission to disembark at a Korean port.
The negative certificate must be:
- Issued within 48 hours of embarkation date (PCR TEST)
- Issued within 24 hours of embarkation date (RAT TEST)
If crew embarked vessel at China/Hong Kong/Macau at 10:00hrs on 12 January, PCR cert tested at/after 00:00hrs on 10 January is acceptable.
If crew embarked vessel at China/Hong Kong/Macau at 10:00hrs on 12 January, RAT cert tested at/after 00:00 11th Jan is acceptable.
The negative certificate must include all following information in English:
- Full name
- Date Of Birth
- Test method
- Tested date
- Test result
- Issuance date
- Test facility name
